Frequently Asked Questions

How to prepare for your first session?

To prepare for your first session, please ensure you have a quiet space where you are comfortable having a private conversation. We welcome you to come as you are—baby spit up on your shirt and all!

What happens if I can’t find childcare or my baby is up early from their nap?

We would love for you to have the hour to yourself, but we understand that life happens and sometimes we have to multi-task. The beauty of virtual therapy is we can usually make it work. If your baby is under 12 months of age, it is often possible to have a complete therapy session with them there. You can feed them, put them on a mat to play next to you, or have them sit on your lap. As your child becomes more mobile and requires more supervision, it may not be possible as your attention will be elsewhere. Do your best to book your appointments around nap times, and we can problem-solve together from there.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes, at this time we are virtual-only for clients in Ontario.

How much does a session cost?

Our prices range by therapist. Feel free to check our Jane Booking Site for up-to-date pricing.

Do you offer flexible appointment times?

Many of our therapists offer flexible appointment times, specifically in the evening after work hours. Check our Jane Booking Site for specific availability.

How do you accept payment?

We accept e-transfer within the first 24-hours following the appointment. If we do not receive the e-transfer, we will charge your credit card on file with a 2.4% processing fee.

Do you take insurance?

Our services are covered by most employer benefits and extended health plans. We collect payment following completion of the session and provide an invoice to be submitted to your provider. Please be sure to check that your insurance plan covers services from Registered Social Workers.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice to cancel a scheduled session so that this time can then be offered to another client. The full session fee is charged if there is less than 24 hours notice given or an appointment is missed. This includes your initial appointment.
